CMiC Integration
Connect ADRO to your CMiC environment to import projects, contractors and project contacts, and send manpower logs and daily uploads to the CMiC Daily Journal.
Overview
ADRO integrates with CMiC to import projects, contractors (project partners) and project contacts, and to write manpower logs and daily uploads to each project's Daily Journal. To enable this integration, your IT team needs to provide API credentials and configure access for ADRO within CMiC.
Step 1: Provide API Credentials
Contact your CMiC administrator or IT team to obtain the following credentials and share them with the ADRO team:
| Credential | Description |
|---|---|
| API URL | Your CMiC API endpoint URL |
| Login URL | The CMiC login URL for your environment |
| Company code | Your CMiC company code |
| User ID | The service account user ID for API access |
| Password | The service account password |
Important: Share credentials securely. Do not send them via unencrypted email. Use a secure channel provided by the ADRO team.
Step 2: Add ADRO Log as a Partner to Projects
In CMiC, ADRO Log needs to be added as a partner on each project that will use the integration:
- Log in to your CMiC system
- Navigate to the Project you want to connect
- Go to the Partners or Project Contacts section
- Add "ADRO Log" as a project partner
- Repeat for each project that needs ADRO integration
Tip: Once ADRO is added as a partner, the project partner will appear in ADRO when you select a project partner in Admin → Projects.
Step 3: Grant Access to Projects and Site Management
ADRO needs access to your CMiC project data and site management modules. Ensure the following permissions are granted to the ADRO service account:
- Project Access: Read access to project details, project partners and contact lists
- Site Management: Access to the Daily Journal, so ADRO can create journals, add manpower tasks and attach documents
To configure this access:
- In CMiC, navigate to User/Security Administration
- Find the service account used for the ADRO integration
- Grant access to the relevant Projects
- Grant access to Site Management modules
- Save the changes
Step 4: Notify ADRO
After completing the steps above, contact the ADRO team with your credentials. We will:
- Configure the CMiC connection in your ADRO company settings
- Run an initial sync to import your projects and data
- Verify that all project data imports correctly
What Gets Synced?
Once connected, ADRO imports the following data from CMiC:
- Projects: Project names, codes and addresses, including sister companies
- Contractors: Project partners and their details
- Project Contacts: Available partners for project assignment
CMiC does not hold gate locations, so ADRO creates an Entry Location for each CMiC project. Trades are not imported from CMiC.
ADRO sends the following data to CMiC:
- Manpower logs: One Daily Journal task per contractor per day, with the number of workers, average hours per worker and each worker's hours in the notes. ADRO creates the day's Daily Journal if it does not exist, and updates the same task when check-ins change.
- Daily uploads: Files and documents attached to the day's Daily Journal
Manpower logs need a CMiC project partner assigned to the project before they can export. Notes, visitor logs and construction reports are not sent to CMiC.
Automatic vs Manual Sync
Projects and contractors import automatically at 6 AM and 6 PM Eastern. Activating a project in ADRO (toggle the Active switch on) also imports its contractors and project contacts straight away. You can trigger a manual sync at any time:
- Go to Admin → Projects
- Click the "Sync Data" button on any project
- Wait for the sync to complete
Note: Sync runs in the background and may take a few minutes for large projects with many contractors and contacts.
