ADRO for CMiC: verified field data without double entry
ADRO connects to CMiC through its API. It imports your projects, contractors and project contacts from CMiC, then writes manpower logs built from verified gate check-ins to the CMiC Daily Journal, along with daily file and document uploads. Your accounting system gets field data it can trust, and nobody types it in twice.
What syncs between ADRO and CMiC
| Data | Direction | When |
|---|---|---|
| Projects (names, codes, addresses) | CMiC to ADRO | Imported at 6 AM and 6 PM Eastern, or on demand |
| Contractors (project partners) | CMiC to ADRO | Imported at 6 AM and 6 PM Eastern, or on demand |
| Project contacts | CMiC to ADRO | When a project is activated, or on demand |
| Manpower logs by contractor | ADRO to CMiC Daily Journal | As check-ins are recorded, updated in place when they change |
| Daily uploads (files and documents) | ADRO to CMiC Daily Journal documents | Exported when uploaded |
What does a manpower entry look like in CMiC?
ADRO adds one task per contractor to the project's Daily Journal for each day. The task carries the contractor's partner code, the number of workers and the average hours per worker, and its notes list each worker with their hours, so your project accountants can trace the count back to people.
Workers who never checked out are flagged in the notes. CMiC limits the length of task notes, so very large crews are trimmed with a pointer to the full list in ADRO.

How does ADRO keep CMiC accurate?
- Corrections update the same task. When a check-in time, worker or contractor changes, ADRO recalculates the count and updates the existing Daily Journal task.
- The Daily Journal is created for you. If the project has no Daily Journal for the day yet, ADRO creates it before adding the entry.
- Failures retry on their own. Three quick retries within minutes, then every hour until CMiC accepts the record. If a task was deleted in CMiC, ADRO creates it again.
- Every record shows its status. Admins see whether each manpower log and upload is pending, synced or failed, with the error, and can resend it.
CMiC does not hold gate locations, so ADRO creates an Entry Location for each CMiC project. Manpower logs need a CMiC project partner assigned to the project before they can export.
Setting it up
-
1
Share API credentials
Your CMiC administrator creates a service account and shares its API details with us over a secure channel.
-
2
Add ADRO Log as a partner
Add ADRO Log as a project partner on each project that should use ADRO.
-
3
Grant access
Give the service account access to project data and the Site Management modules.
-
4
Activate projects
Switch projects to Active in ADRO and their data imports automatically.
Full instructions are in the CMiC setup guide.

What does ADRO need from our CMiC team?
A CMiC service account with access to project data and Site Management: its API URL, login URL, user name, password and your company code. ADRO Log is also added as a partner on each project that uses ADRO.
How do projects get into ADRO?
Projects and their contractors import from CMiC twice a day. When you switch a project to Active in ADRO, its contractors and project contacts import straight away, and admins can run a manual sync at any time.
Which ADRO records are sent to CMiC?
Manpower logs and daily uploads. Notes, visitor logs and construction reports stay in ADRO, where admins can review and export them.
Does ADRO create the Daily Journal?
Yes. If there is no Daily Journal for the project and date yet, ADRO creates one and adds the manpower entry to it.
What happens when a check-in is corrected?
ADRO recalculates the manpower log and updates the same Daily Journal task in CMiC instead of adding a duplicate.
What if an export to CMiC fails?
ADRO retries three times within a few minutes, then every hour until CMiC accepts the record. Each record shows its sync status and the error, and admins can resend it.
How should we share credentials?
Never by plain email. We provide a secure channel for sending CMiC credentials during setup.
Is face data sent to CMiC?
No. Face data used for check-in stays in ADRO and is never exported to CMiC or any other integration.
