Adding Locations

Locations are specific areas within a project where workers can clock in and out.

What are Locations?

A location represents a physical area within your job site where time tracking occurs. For example:

  • Building A - Floor 3
  • Main Entrance Gate
  • Equipment Yard
  • Office Trailer

Accessing Locations

Navigate to Admin → Locations to view all locations across your projects.

Note: Locations are automatically synced from your integrated system (CMiC or Procore). There is no manual location creation — all locations are imported when projects are synced.

Location Information

Each location displays:

  • Project Number: Identifies which project owns this location
  • Project Name: The parent job site
  • Location Name: The specific area identifier
  • Actions: Quick access to QR codes and tracking apps

Location Actions

Each location row provides several action buttons:

QR Code

Generates and displays the unique QR code for this location. Workers scan this code to clock in/out.

Time Tracking App

Opens the worker-facing time tracking interface for this location. Use this to test the worker experience.

Scanner App

Opens the kiosk/scanner mode where workers can scan their badges to clock in/out.

Filtering Locations

Use filters to find specific locations:

  • Project Active: Show locations from active or inactive projects
  • Name: Search by location name
  • Project: Show only locations from a specific project

Best Practice: Use clear, descriptive names for locations so workers can easily identify where they need to clock in.

Next Steps

After creating locations, you'll want to generate and print QR codes. See the Printing QR Codes article for details.
