Worker Spot Check
Identify workers on-site using face recognition without creating any check-in or check-out records.
What is Spot Check?
Spot Check is a read-only identification tool that lets supervisors and authorized users quickly verify a worker's identity using their device camera. Unlike regular time tracking, Spot Check does not record any attendance — it only shows worker information.
Using Spot Check
- Navigate to your project
- Open Spot Check from the sidebar under Project Tools
- Allow camera access when prompted
- Point the camera at the worker — position their face inside the oval guide
- The system will automatically scan and identify the worker
Tip: Spot Check requires HTTPS and camera access. Make sure you are on a secure connection and have granted camera permissions in your browser.
Worker Information Displayed
When a worker is successfully identified, you will see:
- Worker name and photo
- Contractor name
- Email and phone number
- Helmet sticker number (if assigned)
- Training levels
- Team memberships
- Last 10 check-in records for the current project
Checking Multiple Workers
After viewing a worker's information, click "Check Another Person" to restart the camera and identify another worker.
Troubleshooting
- "Camera requires HTTPS" — You must access the page over a secure connection
- "Camera access denied" — Allow camera permissions in your browser settings
- "Worker Not Found" — The worker may not be registered in this project or their face data has not been enrolled
- "No face detected" — Ensure the face is clearly visible and centered in the oval guide
Required Permission
You need the "Spot Check Workers" permission to access this feature. Contact your company administrator if you do not see the Spot Check option in the sidebar.
